PUBLIC CALLED TO JOINT MENSTRUAL HYGIENE RUN IN GULU CITY

  Komakech Jimmy-Gulu   Gulu city menstrual hygiene run is advancing with partners calling for more people and agencies to joint in and support the young girls combat menstrual poverty in Gulu city.   Courtesy event photo for the marathon   Prudence Monica Apiyo – The executive director Her Worth foundation and secretary female youth affair Gulu city council says that they are putting up calls to everyone to come on board to support the crusade weather individually or as a partner. Apiyo argued that they want everyone to get the information and get involved in the campaign of letting no girl remains behind because of period poverty.     David Ochan, a social worker and a researcher with every child ministry says everyone in different walks of life is invited to support the cause. Odonga disclosed scuffle with Late Gen Lokech

   The former Aruu South constituency Member of parliament in Pader district Samuel Odonga Otoo has reveled how he was being trailed by the late AIGP General Paul Lokech after he released a long write up narrating how he was tortured and humiliated by Lokech's blue eyed men in the force  in episodes as below.         In the morning hours of Saturday  21st August 2021, a neighbour stood at my gate and told me, "Paul Lokech is dead".  I asked him, "which Lokech" and he replied, "your Paul Lokech you have been having battles with, the Deputy IGP".  I replied,  "I have enough of my own problems, keep me out of that kind of news". RESIDENTS PROTESTS SHORTAGE OF ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER

Some Residents of Ariaga Sub ward Bwona Parish Laroo Division in Gulu Municipality have resorted to fetching contaminated stagnant fish pond water source which is also being drunk by animals following an abrupt fencing of a community bore hole water source which is fenced inside Laroo Adra Primary School premises barring the over 3,000 community members from accessing the water to support domestic uses in their respective households Okee Charles Okiya a resident of the area revealed his dismay that the water they are currently using is stagnant and contaminated for human use pressing that they might not be in position to fully prevent corona virus outbreak.
