NWSC COMMITS STABLE WATER SUPPLY IN GULU MUNICIPALITY

National Water and sewerage Corporation [NWSC] in Gulu has committed to provide stable water supply for the residents of Gulu municipality In an engagement with the stake holder in Gulu, Engineer Silver Mugisha the Managing director National Water and Sewerage Corporation , assured the stakeholders that the corporation is more than ready to ensure that the water challenge in Gulu do not re-appear again like it used to following the water crisis in 2015. He said corporation is also at advance stages to get water from River Nile besides rectifying the pipelines as one way to curb down the challenges. Mr Mugisa also urged the district officials to put     pressure to UMEME electricity Power Company to stabilized Power supply in order for them to get constant power generation for their water since they are tired of running their facility on a generator and it is expensive. OTUKE RECORD DROP IN MALARIA PREVALENCE

Otuke District in Northern Uganda has recorded decrease in the the rates of high Malaria burden in the district from 43% in 20017 to 15.7% in 2018 following community sensitization on awareness about malaria sickness This report was revealed by Dr Remo Alex the district health officer Otuke District Local Government. 15 WAR VICTIMS GRADUATES IN VOCATIONAL SKILL

GBV ESCALATING TEENAGE PREGNANCY IN NORTHERN UGANDA

SEA NUT DESTRUCTION CRIPPLING PRODUCTIVITY ALONG SEA BELT ZONE

Sea nut oil extracted from sea nut tree is on high demand in the entire country of Uganda and other foreign outside countries worldwide because The tree that produces both edible product and smearing oil in term of butter also has been said that it’s the best in producing charcoal pieces for cooking and production of heat energy. However, in northern Uganda and west Nile region perception of the community is geared towards the last destructive product of cutting down this tree and burning them to get only charcoal product and that is contributing to the low productions of sea nut products in these regions.
